Dr. Omar Karim is a board-certified vascular surgeon with a special interest in all aspects of dialysis access, creation, and maintenance. He utilizes noninvasive imaging and minimally invasive interventional techniques for the treatment of vascular disease, providing critical care and maintenance to people with a dialysis access. Dr. Karim received his medical degree from the University of Maryland, in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed an internship in general surgery at the University of California San Francisco – East Bay, Oakland, California, and residency in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Karim completed fellowships, clinical trials, and outcomes research in vascular surgery at John Hopkins University School of Medicine, in Baltimore, Maryland and Albert Einstein College of Medicine - Montefiore Medical Center, in Bronx, New York. Dr. Karim treats patients at Azura Vascular Care White Marsh utilizing the most up-to-date, pain-free techniques to help patients improve their quality of life.
