John Brouillette

Dr. John Brouillette is an interventional nephrologist specializing in dialysis access management. He treats patients at Azura Surgery Center Birmingham, in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Brouillette earned his medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL, with a year of further training as chief medicine resident for BHS Residency Program. Dr. Brouillette completed a fellowship in nephrology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Upon his return to Birmingham, AL he joined Nephrology Associates, P.C. starting his career as a full-time practicing nephrologist. Since joining the practice, he has become certified in 2003 by the American Society of Diagnostic Interventional Nephrology in performing hemodialysis vascular access procedures. He is a perennial lecturer on kidney disease at medical centers across Birmingham and surrounding communities. He remains active in various clinic research projects using informatics and has published multiple papers in the clinical nephrology literature. Dr. Brouillette is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, a member of the American College of Physicians, and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
